Tania Rodwell is the TOBY Project Manager and has been with Autism West since “the beginning” (2008).
It has been (and continues to be) a pleasure to watch the organisation blossom!
A Speech Pathologist hailing from Perth, Tania has a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Working in country NSW as a new grad, Tania headed back to WA and worked with kids in Education Support facilities. After working for several years as a school based Speech Pathologist she then took on the role of Special Education Consultant for the Catholic Education Office.
After training as an autism diagnostician, and performing both government and private autism assessment work, she started her own private practice – Little Language Centre – in 1996, which she ran for 10 years.
After selling her business, Tania became involved in setting up Autism West as a volunteer board member, working to help create services and a community profile.
Three years ago, Tania moved from board member to employee, taking on management of the TOBY app, Autism West’s early intervention app for 2-4 year olds:
Project management has placed me on a very steep learning curve. I never know what the job will bring!
On a more personal note, Tania is “also a wife and a mum of 3 divine boys and a kelpie” as well as a part-time artist. She loves being outdoors and tries to live life to the fullest – whilst also loving to relax!
Tania loves working for a not-for-profit like Autism West, with great staff, and innovative programs. She especially loves the kids who come to our centre, finding them “inspiring and gorgeous human beings.”
Tania looks forward to seeing Autism West continue to grow bringing some new and exciting opportunities for TOBY and NDIS in 2017!
