Spectrum Space partners with Amaze to deliver help deliver Autism Connect, a national Autism helpline, by providing experienced advisors who can provide West Australian specific knowledge. The helpline is free, confidential and independent, and connect anyone needing advice to a friendly team of expert individuals.
Autism CRC and Spectrum Space began a partnership in 2015 to enable Spectrum Space to contribute to the national research centre. Since then, Spectrum Space has contributed to research into several aspects of the CRC’s work, including contributing to co-participation. Spectrum Space engages with the Autism CRC to develop and present evidence-based content at the Spectrum Space Symposium.
Together with our research partner Curtin University we have validated the strengths-based approach around using strengths as an evidence based intervention for young people with autism. Click here to view the report. We partner with them on as many projects as we are able, in order to ensure our programs are evidence-based and appropriate for our community. Spectrum Space helped seed fund the Curtin Specialist Mentoring Program (CSMP), a peer support mentoring program specifically designed for students with an autism spectrum or related condition. CSMP mentors help guide and support their mentees to reach their academic, employment and personal goals
