Are you are passionate about enhancing the lives of young people with autism?
If your answer is YES then this is the job for you!
Using a strengths-based approach you will collaborate with young people to explore their interests, design programs, and create a fun, accepting and interactive youth group culture through mentoring, coaching and supporting young individuals with autism.
In a youth work environment, you will work with young people and their loved ones to identify outcomes and assess their needs, including the challenges associated with autism and/or social exclusion.
As Group Facilitator, you will be responsible for designing programs and facilitating activities, projects and excursions related to the interests identified in your work with young people on the autistic spectrum.
Working in partnership with professionals from other organisations that support young people, such as disability service providers, social care, education and local authorities, you will also attend training and development opportunities, where applicable, and manage a small team of volunteers.
Additionally, you will perform various administrative tasks, including managing a budget, maintaining effective records, reviewing processes, preparing materials, and responding to enquiries.
