Expression of interest for people with Autism to join our new group.

 We welcome you to express your interest to participating in our new ‘Autism Awareness and Identity Training Course’.

This course is co-designed by people on the spectrum and will be facilitated by two women on the spectrum.

Autism West can provide a short 4 hour session for various stakeholders which introduces a strengths based approach to working with individuals with autism. It references practical considerations for working with people with autism who may struggle due to challenges they encounter. The course is co-facilitated by a person with lived experience.

Topics that will be cover in this course include:

• Making meaning as a group
• Sensory processing
• Communication and relationships
• Mental health
• Strengths as individuals and as a community
• and much more.
